Yes I played tennis. But the path was littered by gravel and stone and I always took the wrong fork in the road! I learned a lot, I coached a lot, now I will share a lot, so can win a lot (hang on, isn't that a dog food !)
LETS GET STARTED WITH SOME COACHING FUNDAMENTALS
There can be a lot to consider when trying to learn tennis. But trying to focus on so much will surely confuse. So after years of coaching I've consolidated and can share a handful ideas that if you can do well, should be enough to get you facing the right direction on your tennis journey.
Technique is important, but when it comes to tennis, however there are many other factors that can make the difference if planning to reach pro level.

So with that said let me at least give some core pointers to help you kind of do the right thing when hitting a tennis ball. Remember many books are available and oodles of experts giving specific technique advice. But this is not my approach at all. Because think about it, if someone knew how to hit everything properly would we not all be champions? So all I can do is give guidance so that known bad habits are avoided, and then how you choose to implement your strokes is up to you. We are individuals and will find our own way.
